Thinning Approach based on Sides Lobe Level Reduction in the Linear Array Antenna using Dynamic Differential Evolution

This novel work has considered the problem of minimizing side lobe level linear array antenna patterns using concept thinning. In comparison to all element arrays, thinning approach activated only a fraction portion total available number elements at suitable positions achieve objectives. The been transformed into constrained optimization with objective while simultaneously satisfying desired and first null beam width. A new based on dynamic value assignment mutation factor in differential evolution proposed, which carries random for each component vector. proposed helped explore converge better solution compared standard approach. Fundamentally Differential explores over continuous domain; hence transformation is needed convert binary domain different existing forms transformation, including sigmoid function-based S-shaped V-shaped functions, have under probabilistic threshold-based conversion processes. It observed that form explored by rounding obtained real nearest integer later assigning according closeness their limit. For detail, experimental analysis given outperformed not other variants but also performed than particle swarm results past literature.
